In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. We went on Christmas Eve, expecting it to be busy so we got there around 4:30ish. There was absolutely no wait. There was barely anyone there. The service was perfect. The waitress was nice and didn't bother us too much which I love. The food came out so fast. I was shocked. The food was beyond amazing. I had the Hot Turkey plate with mashed potatoes and French fries lol. Everything was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to go back.
This place is always amazing been going for over 10 years now. Even the staff is awesome!!
This was my first experience at Black Bear and I absolutely cannot say one bad thing about it! It was incredibly delicious

Our go-to place whenever we want! Excellent comfort food just like Mom used to make the staff are always accommodating and their positive energy and enthusiasm is a great wake up in the morning definitely contagious for the day
