The wait staff, no the entire staff, is always so pleasant and cheerful, even when monstrously busy. That's why we went there when we lived on Torrey Pines and still go there whenever we're in town. Just plain old fashioned good home cooking like you tell people your mother used to make (when you think she'll find out what you're saying about her cooking).
