In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Great Diner. Quality food with excellent staff. Been coming here for a few years on business and never been disappointed. If I have one complaint it would be the ketchup. I prefer 100% natural no corn frutose. Minor.

This place is great; the chicken fried steak, the deserts, the corn bread, and the chicken n' waffles - but ask for a side of country gravy for the waffle, then add the gravy and a bit of maple syrup; trust me... anyway, amazing food, amazing staff and amazing little city...
