Not having Black bear diner in Kansas gave me cause to have at least two meals at BBD while I was in California

Went for the special steak and eggs and at the end they charge us the full price, when I complaint the manager came out and said that the special comes with a small piece of steak and that we got the big piece. but the sign by the entrance didn't said anything about the size of the steak.
I am a huge fan of Black Bear. We have visited Vallejo, Tracy and Modesto (which is near our home) and they are delicious. Tonight we decided to stop at the Manteca Black Bear and I need to say this was the first time I was disappointed. I ordered the pot roast with mash potatoes and my husband ordered the Grizz. His hash browns were not cooked all the way which made him lose his appetite so he left his meal there. I hardly had any roast in my pot roast. Worse Black Bear Dinner I have ever been to... I Love Black Bear Diners too, and I hate to say this.....I will not be stopping to eat there again... So sad.

Hair in my son in laws food and they still charged us!That meal should of been free no questions asked!
Went about 9:15am with daughter and son for breakfast. Walked right in and was seated. Food took over a half hour and arrived at table warm/cool. My Son's chicken fried steak was small and tough with very little gravy. Have been here several times before and service has been better. But, they just can't seem to be consistent with good quality service and food!
