In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Dinner was great. Their steak was perfectly done and tasty. Lots of sides to go with dinner. The coffee is as dark as my soul. 😃

Outstanding. Coming through town, stayed close by and decided to try it. Three adults: tri tip dip (deluxe) with salad, 2 scrambled eggs with waffle and link sausage, slow roasted pot roast with mashed potatoes, salad and green beans. Rhiannon was amazing - fun to watch her and the crew work together...fast and courteous. There was a table of 20 near us having a blast with the staff and enjoying their food/service, too. We're from KCMO - too bad there's not one closer! Cheers to Black Bear Diner!!
