In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Omg I have never been here before and I was amazed at how good the food was it was so good I literally never had a burger like that before! The waitress was so friendly to me and my friend! I’m definitely going back next time I go on another road trip to Monterey!

We are in area for only two days and decided to do dinner here both nights. Eggs Benedict and pot roast tonight. Tri tip / baker potatoes and turkey pot pie last night. Excellent service and great food what more could one ask for..... give them a try and easy to get two.

It's very cool, authentic place, with great interior, delicious and various food, and friendly staff. Another big plus for us was that it's open from 6am
