In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. The only less than stellar experience there was the rest rooms. Food and service were top-of-the-line diner!

Delicious food. Great prices. excellent service. Highly recommend the pancakes and fresh made fruit filled bear claws!

Huge portions will leave you with leftovers almost guaranteed. Everything from a juicy burger, to kosher and even vegetarian meals. Staff very attentive my glass was never empty for more than a minute or two before it was being refilled. This restaurant left a great first impression on me.
I recommend you try everything so you must keep going back .... all big portions Absolutely delicious I never have Room for dessert but one of these days I will
