In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Once I got past the fact the silverware was dirty...and so was the second set...the food was really good! It just opened so I can overlook the fact some of the wait staff are still training....they might want re-evaluate the dishwasher or method they use. I mean when they were setting the table did they not realize their silverware looks gross?🤷🏻♀️

It was ok, pancakes are huge but weren't very warm, ordered scrambled eggs but came out sunny side up, had about a 20 minute wait, they do have a few kinks to work out, but they just opened, will probably give lunch or dinner a try.***

Have eaten here 3 times, including opening day for breakfast. Every meal has been great, big portions and great tasting. Service is fine. Nothing to complain about, they’re operating like they’ve been open for months!
