My country potatoes were “blackened “ and bitter. The cheese and bacon didn’t cover up that taste. The hollandaise sauce was split and vinegary. Everything was good
Just went in there with my four-year-old and 12 year old daughters. My four year old threw a fit in front of everyone which was embarrassing enough. On top of that the employee who sat us commented “wow I would never let my child act like that”… Then she went back with the other employees pointed at us, ridiculed, judged and made even more comments. Which embarrass me in front of everyone even more. Horrible customer service on her behalf. Didn’t even stay and eat.
Kylee was our waitress she was all but rude ! She seemed very annoyed from the beginning , the restaurant wasn’t very busy but she didn’t ask us if we wanted our drinks refilled . Another waitress brought our food I had ordered the biscuits and gravy half an order it was nasty , it tasted like flour or a powder almost no other flavor , she did take it back and off the ticket , I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone . Waitress seemed annoyed to be working. Not a single person greeted us when we walked in. There was no sign about seating so we had to seat ourselves, she finally came over. Ice tea was hot even with ice. Slammed my refill glass on the table then stormed off. I have had good experiences at other black bear diners, and this was not a good one.
I do recommend this place it's usually good. Today is Good Friday and it was absolutely the worst I ordered bacon well done and hash browns well done eggs over easy well bacon wasn't hardly cooked eggs with runny and I didn't even get my hash browns took over an hour for them to cook our food or not cook it LOL the manager made it right and took it off the bill. The food/service was not what we thought. My salad or dressing tasted old, my boyfriend ordered coffee, the server didn’t leave anything to stir in his sugar or cream when she came back (20 mins later) she said she was going to bring silverware, finally did an additional 10 mins later. Pepsi was flat. My boyfriends order was wrong, and his steak was cold. Maybe we caught them on a bad day, maybe if service was friendlier, or food was better I would have given another chance. I was at Twin Falls Idaho blackbear I was very disappointed. One of the waitress had something white dump down her leg the booth was dirty with food scrapes on the seat. We had to ask for it to be cleaned. The back rest of the bench still had something smeared all over and we had to ask for that to be cleaned up. The building floors/rugs were filthy with food and scrapes of paper. The service was slow with a minimum number to be served. Another foursome came in and had to ask to have their chairs cleaned off.
