If you're in the Santa Fe area this is a don't miss place. Scenic vistas everywhere and course was in perfect shape. Greens have huge slopes in them and are severe. Playing this place is an adventure with all the elevation changes and uphill and downhill shots. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Green fee on a Saturday was $99. Less than half of Paako Ridge and $30 less than Twin Warriors. Be aware they don't take American Express cards. I'd choose this place if I was only playing once in the area..
What an amazing location. The golf was good, but could be even better. Last 4 holes world class..
Absolutely loved this course! Greens wwre in great condition and fast. The staff was friendly. This was our second course in NM making our way to Colorado for 7 more courses we were playing for our annual summer golf trip.. Black Mesa was definitely worth the stop and easily comparable to the more expensive courses we have played. Loved the long greens.
The course is in great condition and I like the layout. That’s about the only positive thing I can say. DO NOT PLAY HERE if you want to pay an extra green fee for your 2 year old to ride in the cart. Customer service is non- existent. The woman in the golf shop who I believe is the golf shop manager was not very nice either. I really do not know ... read more
Really nice course, in great condition. As I'm learning seems traditional for New Mexico courses, this course has gravel/dirt paths for both golf carts and walkers. I didn't see any walkers today but seems like it is walked by some golfers. The track is very hilly and thank goodness for powerful golf carts! Lou was today's starter--nice guy, really helpful to show me around, give me a couple pointers on #1 and #2. Hope to be back!
