My family’s experience with bluegrass hospice was very bad my dad had stage 4 terminal cancer and declined very fast at first they told us they would keep him comfortable and manage his pain but as his health declined I need to call them more often about twice a day and several times I called them and never received a call back and they say they will have his nurse or dr call back within 15 min which they never did . Momma is on Hospice and from the beginning I have had to fight and yell just to get her medicine...it's been sent....it was called it...etc. I call to let them know there's an issue with her catheter on Wednesday and the answer I got was well I can come out in Monday!! The aide tried to flush it and finally called in to her boss on Thursday to let him know that there was an issue, that it couldn't be flushed, finally sent a nurse and it had to be taken out and another one started. this is the worst people of I've ever seen I wouldn't recommend anybody 2 Bluegrass hospice they're very disrespectful and letting that people go without medications and always worried too much about paperwork and everything else instead of worried about their patients and that patient is my brother I had to transfer him over to the weather Kentucky hospice they're the best hospice there ever is and I'll make sure that this company you might as well call it that people will know

My mom passed Oct 13, 2018 I called the “call first” number Friday morning at 7:30-8:00 am and a nurse called back within 25 minutes but instead of coming out right away they waited until 3:30-4:00 to show up, even though I told the nurse my mom was complaining of numbness on her entire side, her mouth was drooping and she was having difficulty speaking. I just want to shed light on the horrendous experience we had. My dear mamaw passed away this past Wednesday night, and when the nurse arrived 45 minutes after her death she was rude and showed no remorse. She made snappy, hateful remarks to us and my poor papaw who is hard of hearing she was very hateful with and agitated towards. I am so disappointed. We really never had clear communication about what was going. Once my dad put me on his call list to be notified of any changes in his care, medications or his health, I was NEVER contacted. I had asked repeatedly. Once my dad passed, we waited over 30 minutes for someone to come and record his time of death. The nurse stayed long enough to call the funeral home and left.
