Be careful of obsolete inventory My experience with BMW of Salem has 2 different parts. The staff in both the service and sales department were great to work with. In fact if this was the only thing I was reviewing them on I would do 4 or even 5 stars. The issue I have is they sold me a really bad car. Purchased pre-owned vehicle at full asking price I found the vehicle my wife was looking for online and contacted BMW of Salem to let them know I was flying in from California. I signed a purchase agreement they had emailed to me as well as put $1,000 deposit to hold the vehicle. They told me I needed to find my own transportation from the airport to the dealer when I arrived. I ended up catching an Uber and made it there a few hours before closing time. Maintenance & detail I was able to add a detail to my service time last minute. I very much appreciated that. BMW does a wonderful detail job and this time was no exception. I discovered that maps are not updated with service and maintenance. That was very disappointing! Therefore I also asked for my navigation to be updated. I was told they don't have the time that day but they could schedule me for the next week although after sending my time availability I never received a call or text again. traction control light on checked wiring harness, found under stress from factory install, relieved pressure on part, no light on at this time. tire pressure lite on after leaving dealership, checked at les schwab, adjusted to specs
trade in My 535 had a leak in the transmission at 50,000 miles, they fixed it and it began to leak again at 75,000 miles. BMW wouldn't stand behind the fix (should have replaced the transmission under warranty at 50,000) so the dealership made good on the brand promise and got me into a new vehicle for the price I felt was fair. Much thanks to Kenzie in service and TJ in sales.
What is this? Had air conditioner pump replaced and rear taillight assembly replaced. It was done timely and information was communicated well. Review process has too many rules, next time wont fill out.
Routine Maintenance Very timely service. Easy to get appointment at time desired. Kenzie asked if we received notice for recall on rear seat issue - we did not - will now set up for re-call repair. thanks.
