I went to Bond 45 for my anniversary and requested a table with a view so we could watch the sunset as we dined. The hostess probably didn't get our request and took us to a windowless area. I asked if we could sit in a room we passed that had a river view and she obliged. Our waiter was a pleasant older gentleman but we didn't get the attention other tables in the room got. Speaking as a devoted foodie (and a cook, myself), I was again impressed with the excellent quality/taste of the food; I had the mushroom risotto, which satisfied me completely, complemented with a delightful onion-braised broccolini. I felt the $14 glass of wine—a good Montepulciano red—was a skimpy serving (?4 ounces?) for the price. Birthday dinner with friends
Birthday brunch. Excellent time. Will return. Food was excellent.
The staff was friendly and courteous and the ribeye was cooked exactly as ordered. Yumm!!
Place has excellent decor, and the staff was really pleasant. Particularly one gentlemen who I assume was a manager; didn't get his name but very nice guy, Russian descent if I were to guess. The food however was very disappointing. The bread they give was warm but tasteless and not soft. I ordered a filet mignon which came with mashed potatoes, onion rings, and some sort of red wine sauce. Date night with the wife. Not a bad place, just not a good value for the price. 6 ravioli of purée crab and lobster not very appetizing. Much better choices in National Harbor. A bit JV in execution.
In a busy environment the GM John stopped by to make sure everything was perfect. We had a great time, awesome table, and the food was outstanding.
Based on having a reservation, we were seated quickly, even though we were early. Service was quick and accommodating. Wait staff was personable and light hearted, which created a very pleasant dining experience. The food was presented well, cooked excellently, and flavorful. My friend and I were very pleased with our dining experience at Bond 45.
