Beautiful space and fantastic service!
We were in National Harbor for a conference and needed a place for a large group to share a late evening dinner. This place fit the bill! Great Italisn food and steaks. Service was above average, ambience comfortable.
Surrounded by over-priced and under-serviced options in the National Harbor, this restaurant was an outstanding value and surprise as we expected the typical mediocre fare at the competing touristy attractions around every corner. Very good attention to detail and friendly service, nice warm bread, tasty and perfectly cooked calamari. We were not impressed with the food, the steak was too salty and the crab cakes were not impressive at all. We were expecting a more extensive wine list. The waiter was very busy and did not give us much attention and seemed to get angry if we asked a question or for something. It was really loud and lots of people were standing in the hallway areas. Our entire party was not impressed with the overall experience and we are not sure we would recommend this restaurant to others.
Decor and atmosphere is lively and energetic. The food was fine, but waaayy overpriced for what you get. $25 for a small dish of boxed pasta? C’mon. The steaks were good, but slightly over-sauced. Finally, the service was meh. Our server was very friendly and engaging - but I’m not sure if he was covering too many tables or what, but the wait times in between ordering things and follow up we’re a bit much.
Birthday Celebration
Located with an overlook onto the harbor. We were seated at a table overlooking the harbor and enjoyed watching the “going-ons” below. Our waiter was great and appreciated his suggestions. Mrs. ordered the crab cake and shrimp and thought it was good. I ordered the chicken marsala and thought it was disappointing. The meat was tough, not cooked enough and did not taste fresh. The marsala sauce was tasty, but I left about half of the chicken.
Lovely interior, lots of different sections to sit in. Coat check at the front if you need it. When we were getting seated, literally every staff member we walked by smiled and said welcome.. I felt like a celeb! Filet mignon and Parmesan potatoes were perfect but I wasn’t crazy about the red wine sauce or onion rings.. kind of a strange combination. Diverse food choices and superb wine and dessert choices. Check out the menu before you go.
My first time there, the food was delicious! Nice view from my table.
