Prime location in the Theatre District that therefore commands a higher menu price. The service was fast and the food excellent although for us the portions were far too big; both my wife we don't like to be over-faced with food and we would suggest like-minded people request smaller portions or settle with having appetisers. If we venture to NYC again we would certainly visit Bond 45 for the location for pre-theatre dining but we'd probably share a meal next time. Could have been a 5-Star experience, but one of our dishes was served with cellophane (plastic) wrap under the entire chicken dish, waiter took back and brought replacement dish, which still had pieces of plastic. Never offered any discount. Spent $150 for 2 people.
Quick, efficient and friendly service. GREAT flavourful food.
The food was great: I had the scallops with risotto and my wife had the salmon. Both delicious, and the price was about right, maybe a touch high. But the extra touches really made the experience great: friendly service, complementary champaign before the meal and complementary cookies after (looked like everybody got the champaign, not sure about the cookies, we might have just gotten lucky), and great ambiance. Will definitely return for our next pre-Broadway meal.
Tight space. Every time a waiter bus boy or hostess walked past my table I was banged into and it was quite annoying. The table behind me was large and they never bumped into the gentleman behind me. After a while they didn’t even acknowledge that they were doing it anymore. Ask for a table in the back All else was great!
Really yummy food! I am a vegetarian and they had DELICIOUS vegetable options! They came around with warm chocolate mini cookies after dinner, which was a nice treat! The waiter was not helpful and rude and had no interest in waiting on us.
Slow service. Very loud room. The food, however, was very good.
With mom and sis for special weekend getaway. Food was great and service was wonderful but the table for 3 was really too small. It was barely a table for 2. Food made up for it and we had a wonderful time. We had a gift card that my mom got 10 years ago and was never able to use till now. ! This is my go-to restaurant in the theater district. It's large enough that I can almost always book a pre-theater table, and the food is excellent. My only complaint is the noise, but if you can sit downstairs, it is much quieter.
