Took my family there after we saw a show. We arrived 30 minutes ahead of our reservation but they sat us immediately which was very nice. The place was packed but the service was great and the food was outstanding. The filet was fantastic. Overall it was a fun experience for our family.
I had the veal parm veal chop. I was pounded thin and prepared very good. We order Broccoli Rabe and were told they were sold out. When leaving I saw a large platter where the chefs were cooking .. We got escarole and beans instead which had a too many beans and not sure if it was escarole. Look like Kale and it was brought out before the entrée. The cocktails were prepared very good but took too long to get.
I've been to Bond 45 several times and this time wasn't really comparable. We were not greeted at the door. We were not welcomed as guests. We were shown to our table and given the details. Our waitress was more busy talking to the other employees than working our table. I typically expect more from a Theatre District stalwart, but my expectations are as high as the prices paid. Too many options around there and midtown to waste on it again.
Had dinner at Bond 45 after catching Finding Neverland on Broadway. Saw the 2pm show on a Saturday and grabbed dinner right after, at 5pm. The food was great, the service was really good. The restaurant had a lot of foot traffic but it was an enjoyable experience.
I had the LOBSTER SEAFOOD RISOTTO which was not very flavorful. My guest had the PETITE FILET MIGNON 6oz which was mediocre. For the price, I'd expect AMAZING. Service was great but I go to a restaurant for the food first. I will not return.
Never disappointed...ever changing menu...will accommodate your taste.
Makes you feel like you are part of New York. Surprisingly good food for how large and crowded this place gets. You get caught up in the excitement of the theater district. Great old world ambiance which I hope they keep when they move around the corner in January. I will certainly be going back the next time I go to a show. The meatballs are excellent and I had an open faced lasagna which was very good.
Wife and I have been here before . This will make our third trip. Pasta is excellent. Steaks have been very tender. Very tasty side dishes. Drinks have been prepared with top shelf liquor. I really like the ambience in this place. Get there early and avoid the lines. Yummy peanut brittle in entrance while you wait is a nice touch
Good for theatre district but very expensive. $17 for a glass of wine? Ridiculous relative to its retail value.
