Warm welcome to 3 ladies of advanced age (75 plus) by maitre d who sent a complimentary prosecco to us when he discovered we were all southern lefties as was he. Waiter was friendly, helpful and attentive. Loved the pails of chocolate mousse and whipped cream! Have already told friends, wonder why it took so long to find this restaurant conveniently located for Broadway theatre.
Open late, serving large portions, done with flair and just the right touch of (friendly) New York attitude. Veal parmigiana is a standout, and the size of an area rug. Split two or even three ways. Bond 45 is an excellent solution to the generally mediocre and touristy fare in Times Square.
I always enjoy myself at Bond 45 - love the food, especially, antipasto, fried artichokes and calamari, and the burrata. We were disappointed this past visit that the fryer was broken, so we weren't able to order all that we wanted. This particular visit, the place seemed extra noisy, but perhaps it was because we were right next to a work station, with a lot of clattering of silver, china, and serving trays. So, don't plan to go for a romantic meal, or a peaceful meal, at least not pre-theater. But do go for the wonderful f... read more
A solid mid town spot for a business lunch. A wide menu with enough great specials to please everyone. Service was very good and the table was perfect for discussions. Cookies, hot out of the oven, were offered and were delicious. Reservation time was honored without a delay.
Restaurant very crowded and noisy. Tables close together. Waitress brought wrong entre to table, but was very apologetic and gave us an extra side dish. Menu rather short on vegetables and imagination.
Excellent food excellent atmosphere recommend to anyone
I have been to Bond 45 every time I have traveled to NY. We take a yearly trip to see the Broadway plays. The food is excellent, the service is fantastic, in fact we ended up eating there twice this trip, my niece had the Wedge salad and it was so good we went back after a Sunday play just for that. They were so nice, let us share a pasta dish and even gave us a glass of free champagne. If you are in NY go to Bond 45 convenient to all theatre lovers.
Bond 45 is the classic, old-school Broadway joint that I've always imagined existed. The food is wonderfully classic Italian and Steakhouse fare with great antipasto fare. When I recently visited New York, I had dinner before a show, dessert after the same show, and then returned the next night. The food and service are just wonderful. Go for: -- the classic NYC vibe -- fresh, warm-baked cookies -- awesome cuts of steak -- wonderful seafood dishes -- amazing array of antipasto
My son recommended Bond 45 right in the middle of the theater district. The food and staff were just wonderful. Starting with the tasty bread served by a waiter and the chocolate chip cookies at the end I couldn't find any complaint. I ordered the lasagna and it was like no other; it looked so different from any other lasagna I've ever had (just like the waiter said) and it tasted incredible. You have got to try it. Thanks for the recommendation, Hal.
