Bond 45, a New York Italian Kitchen & Bar was originally located on 45th street in the former historic Bond Clothing Store (1948-1977), is now open in its new home on 46th street. Bond 45 is best known for its vegetable antipasto bar which offers a rotating selection of market vegetables and features an expansive menu that include specialty veal chops, seafood, house made pasta, thin crust pizza and breakfast all day.

One of my favorites in the theater district. Homey feeling - especially with the trays of chocolate chip cookies coming right out of the kitchen on cookie trays and distributed to all who care to indulge! Nice touch. Excellent food and delicious choices on the antipasti bar. I'll be back.

Even though the noise level can be a little high if you dine in the evening, this restaurant never fails to please. we often dine here when going to the theater--the food is great, the staff very accommodating and the proximity to most theaters makes this one of my favorite places. This recent visit I took my grandson for lunch before an afternoon performance and he loved it. The noise level was fine in comparison with the evenings. And, one of my favorite things is the buttercrunch candy waiting for you when you leave.

The overall dining experience was wonderful. The only problem was that because the restaurant is right in the heart of the theater district, we found the prices for food and wine, a little high. However, the food and service were exceptional and we are going back again next week!!
My fiance and I were in NYC for the weekend. We come quite frequently and like to try new restaurants out. I saw Bond 45 had great ratings on opentable so I decided to make a reservation. I walked in and no one greeted us. After standing there like idiots for a few minutes I saw some people that looked like they might've worked there and walked up to them. Have had lunch many times ; this was first dinner experience and it was a 5:00 reservation, and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly since it was quiet! The noise level at lunch and at later dinner can be deafening. Waiter was excellent and he had time to spend with us. Food excellent. If you can try to make an early reservation at either lunch or dinner, it will improve your experience.
Have eaten here several times, never disappointed in the food. Staff wasn't always available, but was attentive and complied with need to be ready for a 2:00 PM curtain. Would request a table in the upper level if possible, definitely not near the bar or the food prep. area as the noise level in that area prohibits conversation.
Been coming to Bond 45 for a number of years and it has become our "Go To" eatery in Manhattan. The bar is lively, the greeting always pleasant and the food is the best. Steak for my 20 year old, fish for the wife and cotoletta Milanese for me. Waiter was fun with stories and suggestions. All in all a great before or after, or in our case between theatre meal.
