The pros first: nice atmosphere overall (visually, seating, noise). The ($48!) veal parmesan - really was fantastic (and it's why we went to this particular restaurant). The cons: I just do not appreciate going to a restaurant (particularly one that is that expensive) and not have the server smile the entire evening. Woul like to see more brunch choices with Eggs.
Bond 45 knows how turn a bad situation into a great night! We went to the restaurant pre-theatre with a 6 o'clock reservation. Our food didn't end up coming until 7:35 PM, which left us 10 minutes to eat before the show. While we had to eat fast, the steaks were delicious. Because of the kitchen problem in getting our food out, they had us come back after the show for desserts, champagne, and coffee. If location is everything then this restaurant is for you. The close proximity to the theater district and Times Square makes this a convienent pre-show place to eat. Dollar for Dollar there are better places in the city to eat. The food was certainly tasty, but average by NYC standards an for restaurants in the same price category. Also, the portions were small for the price.
I was impressed by the fact they they make all their pasta AND mozzarella ! Very tasy and you can tell that they have great pride int he dishes they put out for their guests.

Fantastic pre-theatre dinner experience. Great service and excellent food and wine. Expensive but you get what you pay for. Will eat here again when we visit New York.
The noise level was initially too much but once the pre-theatre crowd left, it was fine. The food was very good and our waiter was excellent. Yes, I would go back.
If you want a nice restaurant with good food before the theater.
