Bond 45 is one of the better restaurant stops near Times Square. We did not want to eat at a chain restaurant (Red Lobster, TGIF, Ruby Tuesdays) and, unfortunately, the Times Square area is filled with those. Make sure you ask to be seated upstairs. The filet mignon was superb and service was excellent.
We ordered 3 fish dishes,which we shared. The red snapper was grilled to perfection,tender and flaky.The branzino (which we had never had before)was done Mediterranean style - delicious! Lastly we had pasta with lump crabmeat and shrimp. We were pretty full at this point but could not resist this, the sauce definitely made the dish. Great place to have pre-theater dinner - off the Broadway beaten path and a few blocks from "Restaurant Row" this restaurant was terrific. I'd go there again, even if not on the way to a Broadway show!
Decent spot for a pre-theater meal. The food came quickly.
I'd go to Bond 45 more often, but I want to keep it special...that being said, I still manage it several times a year...roomy enough for good conversation but energetic enough to keep the vibe high...always friendly from the front door, through to departure, candid and congenial waiters, greatgreatgreat food, and a staff that is attentive without being obsequious ... it's my favorite restaurant in Manhattan...though in the Theatre District, doesn't smack of touri.
Great place to go when in theater district. Wine and food prices are a bit high for that area and that type of restaurant. However it is a fun, energetic place and good for kids since it's so loud anyway. I wish they would serve the pizza at dinner though.
The food & service was excellent, I highly recommend.
Great pre-Theatre option. Loved the Calamari pizza....thinniest, crispiest crust I have ever had!
