Bond 45, a New York Italian Kitchen & Bar was originally located on 45th street in the former historic Bond Clothing Store (1948-1977), is now open in its new home on 46th street. Bond 45 is best known for its vegetable antipasto bar which offers a rotating selection of market vegetables and features an expansive menu that include specialty veal chops, seafood, house made pasta, thin crust pizza and breakfast all day.

We ate from the Prix-fix menu, the food was plentiful and well prepared. We jumped off the menu for a plate of cheese, there was no bread or cracker offered with this but it was good just the same. Dessert was full-portioned and delicious.
Everything was excellent, the food, the service, the table. We had such a wonderful experience, we cancelled reservations at another restaurant the next night and had dinner at Bond 45 again.
Our waitress Jenna was the best. We were with elderly parents and she was so accommodating. I had the Caprese salad with shrimp and scallops - The scallops were cooked perfectly and the mozzarella was delicious. I also had the beet and orange salad - also very good. My mother had a sampler of their vegetable appetizers, one of which was roasted fennel. It was incredibly sweet - carmelized perfectly. At the end of the meal, Jenna brought around homemade chocolate chocolate chip cookies. It was a great experience.
My experience at Bond 45 was excellent. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the ambiance set the mood for a nice romantic evening. The only drawback is the a la carte menu, which is quite pricey. Dinner for 2 ran well over $100.

The fixed price menu for "restaurant week" was excellent. I could order the seafood antipasto, my fav, as my first item. Also being able to switch out dessert for a glass of wine was just perfect! This fixed price menu made this expensive pre-theater eatery affordable for us. If they were to continue to offer this promotion, we would become a regular customer. Stephen Liebmann
Pasta was tasteless. Fish (sole) was delicious) Service was excellent and we made theatre in time.
I was very disappointed that a basic house salad of simple greens cost $11! Otherwise my companion and I were pleased with our meals.
