Still a great place for pre-theater dinner (although on this occasion, we got a little anxious as it took a long time for the check to arrive and then be processed). It's bustling, noisy, and puts you in the "Broadway" mood. I wonder if they're beginning to economize just a little too much? The filet mignon has gone, over the period of a few years, from being served with chunky and delicious fries to not, and from being served on a gorgonzola-smeared piece of toast to not. Declining by degrees, I fear.
Pleasure to dine here - great food, service, and ambience. Really beautiful interior and despite being rather large, restaurant felt very intimate and service was impeccable and very friendly. A bit overpriced, especially the meat entrees; one could rack up a very pricey entree by the time one added an a la carte sauce and/or topping (mushrooms, cheese). However, the filet we had was the best ever and almost worth the price. Would definitely return to try other entrees, especially seafood and pasta.
good food. spotty service. pleasant decor. a bit too noisy. good for pre theatre or lunch, but not worthy of a special trip.
A little bit to pricy, and more for tourist.
Best place in Times Square.
Food was spectacular but tables were too close together and the meal was too rushed -- I wanted to enjoy the meal and company and felt rushed and pressured to get out which was disappointing.
Although I enjoyed my food, my wife was not impressed with the crab steak that was on the menu. Also the sauce, which was supposed to be a remoulade sauce, was really more like your every day tarter sauce. She asked our waiter for some cocktail sauce and was told they didn't have any. He ultimately brought her some kind of red sauce that was close to a cocktail sauce. Unfortunately, by then she had pretty much finished her dinner. While I indicated above that I would recommend Bond 45, it would be with caveats.
Overpriced and extremely noisy. Not a relaxing place.
Fun upbeat atmosphere. Terrific antipasto selections, check them out up front as you head to your table. One of the few places in the Theatre district with very good food and a fun atmosphere.
