I'm so happy with this place. I love that it is so easy to do business with them and everyone is so nice to us and our dog. Usually, it is difficult to schedule appointments but with them they always accommodate us and they tell us how much it will be before we get there so, we won't have any surprises! I also love that they are so quick! The vet we used to go to would bring us to the room and we would wait for 30mins before they see us, which is horrible especially for dogs wait a long time in a stressful environment.... read more

First impressions are lasting. Your first impression when you walk in the door is a positive one when you are greeted by a smiling warm and friendly staff. There was no wait time since we had an appointment. Dr Bellamy was very nice, knowledgeable and friendly to our cat. I highly recommend Bramer.

I've been bringing my cats to Bramer Animal Hospital ever since I moved to Evanston over twenty years ago. It is easy to get an appointment for both routine exams or sudden, unexpected illnesses. I am most familiar with Dr. Schoen as she has been the doctor to primarily care for both of my cats. She is very adept at dealing with my skittish cat and making her feel as comfortable as possible. We have been coming to Bramer for years. Although all the vets are great, Dr. Swiatkowski is special. He completes a thorough assessment and tells us options for care. He explains costs and gives us recommendations, supporting any decision we make. Several years ago, our dog had a mucocele and surgery would have been both expensive and traumatic. We found Bramer under rather unfortunate circumstances when our cat, Lizzie, became gravely ill. Dr. Berkowitz was incredibly caring to Lizzie and compassionate towards my husband and I as we had to make a very difficult decision after it became apparent that Lizzie wouldn't recover. Even after our last visit with Dr. Berkowitz, the compassionate care extended to a lovely, handwritten condolence card, which we very much appreciated. I'd recommend this Vetinarian clinic to anyone with a pet. The providers are very professional and kind to the animals. It is a very clean facility with lots of nearby parking. The exam rooms accommodate a large dog easily and Sampson loves the staff. The prices are fair and hours are good.

We've been taking our cat and dog (and a stray kitten we found living under our house last summer) to Dr. Schoen at Bramer for the past few years, and have always received compassionate, professional service from the whole staff. Dr. Schoen, in particular, is genuinely enthusiastic about sharing her considerable professional knowledge with concerned pet owners. After that great experience when my dog was a puppy I finally clued in two years later that this should just be our regular vet. Bramer is wonderful. They're quick with getting you an appointment, call back in a timely manner when you leave a message, and are super accommodating. Our dog really hates going to the vet so on our first real visit, Dr. Swaitkowski spent most of the time just feeding him treats and trying to get the dog to warm up to him. I've been bringing my pets to Bramer for over 20 years. We have seen Dr. Swaitkowski, Dr. Schoen and recently Dr. Berkowitz. they are great, wonderful with our little animals and very astute about recommended care. In all these years, the only, only comment for improvement is the staff at the reception and check out. They are clearly busy, have lots to do, but their approach towards clients is at times abrupt. Other than this small point, I wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.
