Top notch vet. My three cats see Dr. Retseck and we always look forward to seeing her. This year, we had to see her a lot as my oldest cat had a bad toe infection that would not go away. Dr. Retseck ended up having to amputate the toe (which healed beautifully) but throughout the two months we were trying to cure him, she was fully explained what was happening, what she was doing and why we were using X medication. We have been bringing our pets to Dr. Jim Hagedorn for over 25 years and have always found him to be compassionate, understanding, and an excellent diagnostician. As a physician I have found Dr. Hagedorn and his staff very professional. He communicates his thoughts and recommendations clearly and patiently. We believe that he really cares for our dogs. I would recommend Dr. Hagedorn and Bramer Hospital without reservation.

Went to see Dr. Retseck on Saturday and she was great! Super efficient and to the point, definitely one of those doctors who gets you in and out without wasting a single second! I also asked for her expert opinion on re-vaccinating my dog against the canine flue, she said she was in favor of the vaccine since it has been updated to fight the newest strand and hasn't had terrible side effects. We started taking our two elderly cats to Bramer Animal Hospital in early 2015 after moving to Evanston. We are very happy with the expert, attentive care and professionalism that is exhibited by the entire staff! Because our cats are both quite old, we particularly value the diagnostic expertise and gentle treatment that they have received. We highly recommend Bramer Animal Hospital!

Docs & techs are great! My least favorite thing.....the front desk staff. Overall not very helpful and lacking empathy to the point of standoffish. My boyfriend says that maybe the Docs or owner treat them poorly....? He could be right. While standing in the waiting room I asked another pet owner if the front staff was always like this. She said pretty much but she loves the Docs & has been going there for 10+yrs.

Can't say enough good things about this place. I moved from the Evanston area and still take my fur babies back here. My 2 year old Siamese mix had been having some issues, got him an emergency xray, and he needed stomach surgery. Not only was Bramer the best quotes we found in the market price wise, the follow up care is what impressed me. Dr Ken is always on top of checking and seeing how your pets are doing, and will call back after hours to return a note. And my cat is doing great now as well.

I have 4 cats- who are former street cats-lovely but not always easy. Lots of medical emergencies over the past few years- so grateful for Bramer's help! They are compassionate. I love Dr. Hagedorn-kind, professional, happy to talk at length-and understands financial constraints. But also have had visits with Dr. Shoen- also wonderful. Vet techs and desk staff also do a little extra always. All are great. Highly recommend this place-
From the representatives on the phone to the vets we met with, all friendly and helpful. We have found our go-to pet hospital. We would definitely recommend Dr. Ron! Our cat was not feeling well and Dr. Ron guided us through the process towards finding out what was wrong with understanding. My cat needed surgery and we felt that Dr. Ron was understanding both emotionally and financially. Our cat is back to good health and we plan on taking our other one there for a check up.
