Another lender (First Horizon) had my mortgage for more than a month and a half. I received very little communication from them, and when I did reach out, I was simply told, "everything looks good." A week before my closing, they called me to deny my mortgage. I was a few days away from selling my home in Georgia and moving my family to Tennessee, and it was a 30 second phone call to say they can't help me.
