We were first-time home buyers (also from another country) and didn't know almost anything about the process, but he was so patient and helped us a lot with explaining anything whenever we had questions or concerns. Another lender (First Horizon) had my mortgage for more than a month and a half. I received very little communication from them, and when I did reach out, I was simply told, "everything looks good." A week before my closing, they called me to deny my mortgage. I was a few days away from selling my home in Georgia and moving my family to Tennessee, and it was a 30 second phone call to say they can't help me.
