We brought some friends who were visiting from Texas. They requested NYC Italian & a place that had both great food & was fun. Fiorello's fit the bill. We had a great meal, with excelle wine & were treated to extraordinary service.
The food stays consistently good at this crowded noisy Lincoln Center favorite. They will get you to your show on time but the service is very uneven.
A little crowded. We were stuck in a corner when the room was basically empty. Would have liked a little more room. Most of the food was delicious. The main entrees--veal marsala and veal piccata--were a little disappointing. WONDERFUL "bucket" of chocolate mousse for dessert.
our table location was awful...part of our group either had to duck as the wait staff came in or out of the kitchen the other half of our group had to cnstantly get up to allow a large group in and out of their seats or for the wait staff to serve or take orders from the other table. we felt rushed and ignored when we weren't ordering more than our salads and entrees.
Had another wonderful experience here April 2012. I have been going here since the early 1970s. Consistently great service and food. My guests always appreciate the Lincoln Center location, ease of access by public transportation, nearby parking, and decor.
We were late for our reservation because of traffic, but called ahead to advise the restaurant. When we arrived there was a long line of people waiting. When I told them who we were and that I had called, we were immediately seated - no waiting in line. Thought that was great - had opera tixs and didn't want to run late. Great service!
Food still very good, however,Menu has changed and new prices too high. Also, the last 5 times I tried to include artichokes in my medley of vegtables, response- "we are out today" This leads me to believe that they really don't want to include the pricier artichokes as an option.
This was my third trip and the food is consistently good every time. This was my first time sitting outside and it was glorious!
Food was delicious; the service was excellent; the tables were a little too close.
