The food was excellent and the service superior. I had to make a concert and the restaurant was extremely accomodating. There was a great variety of items on the menu and the waitress was familar with all of them.
Going to the theatre or the opera? This bustling, but efficient restaurant knows how to treat the pre-theatre crowd. The place was jammed (I was so thankful I'd made reservations!), but we were served quickly. The reason I go to Cafe Fiorello is for the antipasti "bar". With a long list (over a dozen) of antipasti to choose from, you can select six items for a reasonable price and it's a meal! Two of our party had one of the specials of the evening, and both loved their selections. It's perfect for the Lincoln Center crowd, ... read more
The primary attraction is that it is one of few restaurants within a 2 minute walk of Lincoln Center. The servicer asked us what time our show was, and the food came out very quickly, which shows that they understand their customers. As far as the food, the pasta was excellent, but otherwise the food was average, as well as pricey.
Good for pre-opera dining. Pizza is excellent. Antipasti are so-so.
Conveniently located near Lincoln Center. Takes advantage of its prime location and is a bit pricey. Good food pleasantly served.
Usually a great pre-ballet dinner, this visit to Cafe Fiorello was a bit disappointing. I ordered one of the specials, a cold seafood platter. The waiter "forgot" to mention that this particular dish was quite a bit more expensive than anything else. More importantly, the fish was just average - it did not taste that fresh and certainly was not worth the $55!!! This is in no way going to prevent our return to this favorite restaurant - just a warning to others who might read the review.
In an area of Manhattan where restaurant prices can be outrageous and staff can be well, shall we say snooty ... This place is wonderful ..The food was delicious and prices were moderate ..The waitstaff and maitre d were friendly and accomadating ..service was quick enough to get us to our show on time but did not rush us at all..I would definately recommend!
Can't be closer to the action and vibe of Lincoln Center. Great, attentive service but you will pay for the location.
Great for light dinner before the ballet or opera. Terrific antipasti.
