Very mediocre food considering the amazing Italian options in Manhattan. But it has an old-school/old world atmosphere and it’s one of the few places that has been around since I was a child. I would never go for the food but the service is great and friendly and you feel like you stepped into another time and place, which is nice. Nothing trendy or hip about it. Old world charm and service. Also not too loud.
We were there for a pre-opera dinner, which was as always—FAB! Fried artichokes, and sharing the beautiful home-made lasagna dish (huge!) The vegetarian selection is delicious and everyone loved the service, ambience and food!
DIning at Cafe Fiorello was wonderful! Great atmosphere, excellent service, delicious and well-prepared food, and never rushed. Perfect for pre-opera at Lincoln Center. Would definitely go back again!
The food and service were excellent but it is NOT energetic but frenetic and way too noisy to talk to anyone across the table. Waiters are rushing by and the noise level is outright unpleasant. Not a place to go for a relaxing dinner, especially if you expect to be able to converse.
As New Yorkers who now live in Florida this is our fav Manhattan restaurant. We go every time we come up for dinner and just experienced breakfast for the first time. Mateo is a wonderful manager. He keeps the place humming.
Fiorello proves itself again: excellent service, excellent food, moderately priced - - the whole experience was well worth the money and time. Wholeheartedly recommend Fiorello's.

Excellent food. We had a table in a quieter section which made it easy to talk to each other. Enjoyed the restaurant and food!
The service was prompt, menu wonder, our meals were delicious. It’s expensive, but that is no secret.
