This was our second time dining at Cafe Fiorello, but our first review. A Saturday evening in Manhattan May not be the best evening to judge a restaurant, but Open Table asked, so here it is. We had a 4:45 reservation, the only one we could get that morning that allowed us enough time to get to a show across the street at Lincoln Center. Lovely Mother's Day brunch for family of 4, including 2 teenage boys. Spaghetti Carbonara one of the best I've tasted. Generous portions.
Food and service were excellent.Given the size of the crowd , the noise level was tolerable. We like the convenience of the restaurant to the Met Opera, only a 5 minute walk. Desserts were out-of-this-world!
Perfect spot across from Lincoln Center!
Tried their relatively new offering of breakfast, and it was excellent. The Tony Bennett French toast is highly recommended.
I love the food and the location (near Lincoln Center) and the ambiance but I twice I have been seated at the worst table in the front behind the door. The first time I didn’t notice the door opening and closing with a thud every few minutes or more because I was seated facing out. This time I was seated facing in and the door opening and closing was very unsettling. I have the impression that who you are at Fiorello matters very much.
