My closest girlfriends and I, were having what has become our annual holiday get-together. We had our lunch at Cafe Fiorello last holiday season also. Even though I was a half hour early for my reservation, the maitre d' seated me immediately, after having someone come and take my coat to hang up. He was very accommodating regarding my seating request. Great food and service. The whole artichoke to share was outstanding.
My friend and I had a wonderful time. Our waiter was friendly and fun and the food was delicious.
A bit of a wait but worth it, as food was excellent.
We live in the area. The only reason we do not come here more often is that the excellent pasta and pizzas and deserts disagree with my waistline. It's never been disappointing. Despite the fact that it's a big place that caters to the pre- and post-Lincoln Center crowd, we've always found the service to be accommodating and friendly, from the front desk, to the hostesses, to the wait staff. Reliable and excellent spot for pre-theater at Lincoln Center.
Our meal was amazing! As we finished our entree a horrible incident happened in the restaurant and a water pipe broke in the ceiling. I was very sad to see that customers were very upset as if it was their fault. Thankfully no one got hurt and I hope the restaurant reopens soon!
It a great restaurant but please take off the scratchy paper table cloths. It's tacky and beneath you.
