A classic west side experience is dining al fresco at Fiorello's, with its great view of Lincoln Center. You'll see both locals and tourists. Although it's a familiar place for pre- and post-theatre, the best times are late lunch and 8pm dinner, when it's a little more relaxed. I like the small plate choices best. perfect for before going to Lincoln Center, which is right across the street.
Usually, this is a four-star place. We go there often. However, they must have been having an off day because the lunch service was spotty, the waiter curt. Also, two of our choices which are regular menu items were not available. They seemed to be short of servers. In all fairness, they did, as usual, honor our seating request. Hope that this is not the beginning of a trend.
We sat outside and it was wonderful .... Delicious food, great service and great ambiance.
The pizza is the best. And, if yo save some room, the cheesecake is to die for!!!

The best way I can explain how great Café Fiorello is is to say that this week we ate there for dinner on Tuesday night. On Friday evening we were going to be at Lincoln Center again. With all the restaurants in the area, we chose to eat at Fiorello's again. AND LOVED IT AS MUCH the 2nd time that same week.
Came in just before catching a show. Our server was great, she was attentive and on top of her game and really enjoyed the opportunity to escape the more energetic part of the restaurant. So special thanks to the manager for making that happen. Looking forward to our next visit
Pre theater dinner. The service was very good and attentive but not intrusive. Great selection of food. Liver with onions was excellent. It was cooked to perfection at the vegetables on the side were still crisp and fresh. The wild boar Ragu on pasta shells was outstanding. The only negative was that the portions were a bit on the small side, even for us who are not big eaters.
