fine food and bustling atmosphere
I'm from Connecticut, my friend from New Jersey and we met for lunch at Fiorello's. It was the perfect setting. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside. No worries about trying to avoid the sun-there are umbrellas. The wait staff was ever-present and excellent so we always had service. The food was excellent. I had a Caesar salad with salmon, she had the Margherita pizza, which I tasted and thought was delicious. The bread is also very good. Its a nice menu but a Great place to get a few antipasti and some wine, and so convenient to Lincoln center. I always feel good going here
Food is always good....noise was not as bad as usual because it was a holiday with few diners....enjoyed it because the noise level was lower.....
This was our first but not last visit to Café Fiorello. Great food, great service, friendly personnel in the restaurant. When we return to New York, we will return to Cafe' Fiorello.
We have been to café fiorello several times. The environment is always upbeat and busy. The antipasti bar is outstanding - the best ever. Dishes are not consistently prepared so what you love the first time is good but not as outstanding which makes it disappointing. Service this last time was slow and no attentive.
We were in New York for the weekend and couldn't miss dining again at Cafe Fiorella. Wonderful atmosphere..great service..delicious food (my husband says he's going to get something new and always ends up getting the special open faced lasagna!!!)..fabulous antipasta bar...need I say more. Always plan a reservation there when we're in New York. Neighborhood is great. Right across from Lincoln Center plaza...caught a few minutes of the open air opera on the big screen in front of the Met last night.
The chocolate mousse and whipped cream dessert is to die for. So, regardless of what else you may choose from the menu (and it's all excellent), save room for the dessert. And, if you can't finish it there, take it home for the next day. it's well worth it! And, by the way, the service by waiters and others is superb!!
Wonderful Lincoln center-area restaurant where they get you out in time for the curtain,but never with rushed service.The food is always very good,especially the antipasto bar.It can be very crowded ,with tables tightly placed.
