Cafe Fiorello is an institution across the street from Lincoln Center, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch on the weekends. Fiorello's is a great spot for pre-theater dining. Open late each night, the restaurant is also perfect for a post-theater dinner, a light bite at the antipasto bar, or cocktails and dessert.

We arrived early for our reservation, but that was not a problem. There was a line for customers waiting for a table but that was for outside seating. We preferred to dine indoors. We were seated at a quiet table for 2 toward the back and it was our server's first day. However, she was very knowedgable about the menu and helped us with our selections. Everything we ordered was excellent but there was just too much food -- so our server cheerfully wrapped everything left over for us to take home. And that second meal at home ... read more
At pre-performance times the main course can come so quickly that you hardly feel you have settled into your seat. While I appreciate not having to rush to Lincoln Center, I also don't want to feel that my meal is rushed. The food itself is lovely.
Food and service are consistently good. If you want a relaxed dinner before going to a performance at Lincoln Center, this is not the place. It is chaos--very noisy and crazed waiters. If you don't have a curtain, go after 7:30pm and enjoy a fine meal!
This was our second time dining at Cafe Fiorello; it was just a good the second time. Great place for dinner prior to an opera at the Met!!!
Good food expensively priced. The restaurant's prices reflect their taking advantage of their proximity to Lincoln Center. Lunch can be quite pricey if ordered a la carte. As a group of four ladies, we ordered a large salad and a large margherita pizza which we shared among us. That was good a way to escape the high individually priced entrees.
Cafe Fiorello is a reliable place for a pre/post Lincoln Center meal. We particularly appreciate its accommodating guests who share courses.
Always a winner
This has been a neighborhood favorite of our family for years. There is a great energy that starts with the friendly Maitre d' who must cheerfully and repeatedly tell guests without reservations that there is an hour wait or more. The vegetables on the antipasto bar are consistent love the stuffed artichokes and the zucchini. The pizza is huge but light and delicious. So convenient to Lincoln center and considerate of your show time always. Hope they continue to be around for many years!
Had dinner with another couple on a Saturday evening. Although we ate early, the restaurant was already quite crowded. Service was attentive, although the wait for the food was longer than we had previously experienced, probably due to the large crowd. However, at no time were we rushed. We had plenty of time to enjoy the fine food which is very well prepared and tasty. We will definitely be eating here again when we are in the Lincoln Center area.
