Cafe Fiorello is amazing -- not because of its Italian cooking, which can be excellent but is inconsistent -- but instead because it's huge, cramped, and hysterically busy before and after programs across the street at Lincoln Center, yet the restaurant handles herds of diners deftly and with dispatch. The food isn't so wonderful that the restaurant would thrive in any location, but given its site, Cafe Fiorello is a useful fueling stop. Love Fiorellos and have been going for years but $200 for a couple of appetizers, two pizzas and a few drinks? Beyond over priced. Hard to blame them, people are lining up at all hours.
One of my go-to places in NYC. Love the food but can be very hectic, which it was this past visit. Our waiter was overwhelmed and the seating was tight . The antipasto bar was terrific as usual. Unfortunately, the pizza, which is usually wonderful, wasn't . Also, the prices have gone sky high. Next time we will stick to a 9th Avenue Italian we love with easier pricing and food that is comparable.
Good choice for nearby Lincoln Center- good food and service but wine prices disproportionately high though
Great pre-theater dining - Great resturant period.
Very quick and attentive service when you mention you come for an opera and even if a lot of peaople are stressing them around, they seem to be used to the crowd. Very crowdy and noisy though
A Columbus Circle Culinary Gem! A terrific restaurant choice for before or after a Lincoln Center evening or anytime. The service staff made dining at Cafe Fiorello an event not just a dinner reservation. We will be back, absolutely.
They have the BEST antipasti I come here every time I visit NY I wish there was a restaurant like this in the DC area.
