Good No rugs, concrete floor. Paint pealing in bathroom. We had a suite room. Good location, pool, clean room.

A convenient unassuming little motel with a refreshing pool and lots of shade.
I felt the "motel" was kinda pricey for the outdated rooms. Bed wasn't that comfortable. Air conditioner was kinda loud.

Exceptional AC in room was a little noisy Great location close to downtown, nice pool, friendly staff, good price compared to others and restaurant on site
Love the theme, love the staff, love the restaurant/tiki bar! It's somewhat far from the downtown area so walking downtown isn't really easy. But if you don't mind driving a mile or so, it's no problem at all. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. We arrived at our hotel and they promptly checked us in. We got to our room only to notice that the unit above us had flooded in the bathroom and it was leaking through the ceiling and had soaked our bathroom floor and the carpet just outside it. Caliente Tropics provided a great value for the price. The fridge in my room was basically useless. Although there was a large coating of frost/ice along the back interior, it wasn’t cold enough to store my food. I had to retrieve ice a few times per day so I could keep my perishables in my ice chest. The bed was quite comfortable, and I liked that the bed cover was cotton, not the creepy fabric so often found in inexpensive hotels. Very relaxing, enjoyable stay. We liked the Hawaiian atmosphere in the pool and garden areas. The pool was very large and the water was a comfortable temperature . Our room was spacious and very clean. The whole property had a great vibe. We will definitely stay there in the future.
