Exceptional Our experience at Caliente Tropics was wonderful. Our room was the basic motel room but it was very clean and comfortable. Nice t.v., bedding, pillows, etc. The outside space is beautiful! With a lovely yard, beautiful pool and hot tub. The restaurant, The Reef, has excellent pub style food and a fun atmosphere! Will go again!

Nice time. There are strong chemicals in the hot tub that dried our skin out. We both have naturally oily skin but needed to use moisturizers to counteract it. Good matrass, pleasant staff, clean room, well kept landscaping. The pool, hot tub and attractive grounds made it very resort like. The location is central and convenient.
Good The cleaning staff always seemed to be giving me the evil eye, even though we kept our room clean and only wanted service when we needed fresh towels The restaurant in the front was excellent, the Reef bar also had good fair priced food, the pool and spa were good and clean
We cannot wait to go back Rooms are small. Could use an additional dresser/storage. Very nice people. Vintage hotel. perfect location.
I would go back to the Calliente Tropics. When we illustrated how dark it was at our table, the restaurant staff did not offer to move us to a better-lit table, even though there were several available nearby. The food and service was otherwise good. I really liked the Tiki-oriented Reef lounge. The drinks, food and staff were terrific. The main restaurant was also very good. If you eat there in the evening, though, ensure you get a table with lights overhead.

We love Palm Springs and this motel happens to be in an area we like. Just wish they’d redo all the. Already mentioned in first paragraph. It’s in a great location. We were unhappy because our room was so beat up and badly in need remodeling. We had been told by family members that stayed there that the rooms were upgraded. Unfortunately ours wasn’t. We would stay there again if they redo the rooms.
It was a great location, nice place to stay, good restaurants (though too bad no breakfast on-site). Nothing really - overall it was much better than I'd expected. The pool area and grassy area were great! Evzin was an amazing restaurant too!
