My dog has been at CARE for almost 3 weeks now in medical boarding as she recovers from TPLO surgery and our experience has exceeded all expectations. I must say that we were very nervous to board her as she has never been boarded before, even when we've gone on vacation she has stayed with friends or family only. She is also deaf and has difficulty adjusting to new environments and learning how to connect with different people she isn't used to. However, within 24 hours all of our fears were put to rest and we felt overwhel... read more
Business response:
Hi Danielle, I am so glad that we were able to exceed your expectations; thank you for your kind words about our doctors and staff. The birthday celebration was fun for us as well! We look forward to seeing you and your furry friend back at CARE.
My dog Franklin had an unfortunate accident in October of 2018. He slipped out of his collar, ran into the street and went under the wheels of an SUV. There was significant damage to his pelvis and back legs and has has to have 2 surgeries so far. After he recovered from surgery and was able to walk on 3 of his legs I took him to CARE for additional treatment. The staff and doctors were absolutely amazing. Everyone cares so much about every one of the animals brought there and they were so kind and loving to my boy Frank. Th... read more
Business response:
Hi Jason, We are so glad that we have been able to help you and Frank. Looking forward to seeing you both at your next appointment!
When my 9-year old Golden Retriever, Mac, collapsed 3 days after CCL knee surgery, my vet had no answers except to increase his pain meds and tell me he likely had sustained spinal cord damage, and that all we could do is wait and hope he gets better in time. My dog weighed 117 lbs, a big fellow, and it would take 2 strong men to pick him up to go outside to the bathroom, and I don't live with 2 strong men ... . So, I started searching for an "in-patient" canine rehab place in Los Angeles, and found, on Yelp, the only FULL... read more
This review is well overdue. Wife and I used to take our rotty to BARC in Redondo Beach. We found out about CARE thru another BARC client who said he found his dog did much better at CARE. Being that BARC had pretty crummy attitudes of their front desk staff which always put us off--decided to try CARE. These guys have been doing this for a long time and are clearly experts in this field. Not only did we notice faster improvements on our dog's mobility, all of the staff here were much more pleasant, especially the front de... read more
My dog, Oliver and I have been very happy since we started going to CARE in November. The Doctors and staff have been very attentive and show a genuine concern for Oliver who is a 12 year old Wheaton Terrier with joint and arthritis issues. They have taught me how to give him exercises at home to help build his hind legs. They give him Acupuncture which helps as well. Every Therapist we have worked with is great and I highly recommend CARE to all.
I am forever grateful to CARE for helping my sweet Frenchie during the last year of his life. He became ataxic (drunk walking, slipping up stairs etc) and then went down completely where he couldn't walk, go to the bathroom etc. His muscles completely atrophied and we were able to get his muscle tone back and get him to walk normally again for several months after with the combination of therapy, laser, acupuncture, and underwater treadmill. I really do believe that I got an extra wonderful year with him because of CARE. Bes... read more
I know this review is way overdue but May 2018 I brought my beloved dog here, Huggie, for paralyzed hind legs due to trauma/accident that happened in petsmart where I brought him to be groomed and nails drummeled and got him back PARALYZED and was unable to feel from his waist down. My baby was in a lot of pain, his back was arched and could hardly move, not even drink water. I went to 3 other doctors/surgeons prior and I was told that Huggie would never walk again; based on the degree of his neurological deficits and that ... read more
They are absolutely the best. My Dachshund was on the verge of becoming paralyzed twice due to his back and they him walking and playing like he is a puppy. They are caring and understand that they are not just treating your furry baby, but they are treating you as well. I am grateful everyday for them. I love knowing that if something should occur again that my dog is in great hands.
I just need to express my gratitude for California Animal Rehabilitation! Every aspect of their care is absolutely amazing. Dr. Waldman created the perfect program for my black lab, Cali, and we have seen amazing results. Cali suffered a cruciate ligament tear in July and we avoided surgery! Cali is a busy, wild, young-at-heart 8 year old black lab and I am amazed at the progress we have seen in just about 5 months of physical therapy, acupuncture and home exercises. If you're thinking that your pet needs surgery be certain ... read more
