With water conservation mandated in California, we wanted to get rid of our lawns and re-landscape to give a new look while using less water. We followed a recommendation to try California Smartscape. We’re glad we did. I hired California Smartscape to redesign and landscape my backyard. They installed two paver patios, one with a gazebo. Installed a wrought iron fence, sprinkler system, pathways, and lighting for a large back yard. Part of the yard included a artificial grass area and they also planted a slope and other areas of the yard with a tree, drought tolerant plants. We cannot say enough wonderful things about the outstanding job California Smartscape did for us! They completely transformed our empty backyard into a wonderful retreat we enjoy everyday. Leo and his crew were true professionals that did not overlook any details. They were responsive, flexible and absolutely wonderful to work with. They were receptive and answered our questions while also ensuring we were informed of the process until completion. We look forward to our future projects and working with them again.

We had an overgrown, unmanageable front yard that needed to be replaced. Also, we decided to replace our concrete sidewalk and driveway with pavers. Finally we also decided to spruce-up an old brick façade with stone. We got quotes from three different reputable, well-established landscape companies. All the quotes were in the same ballpark. First of all this review is long overdue, the only problem we've had is trying to stop enjoying our backyard long enough to come inside and take the time to write the review! The project was extensive and we basically gutted our entire front and back existing landscaping. This clearly would be a large project with lots of moving parts and dollar signs. Nick was able to take our ideas and the final product was exactly how we had envisioned. Leo, Eliel and their team were very professional, showed up on time every day and their craftsmanship was beyond expectations. They made a few suggestions to enhance the overall look and function of our BBQ and fire feature. We would highly recommend them.

After purchasing a new home we hired California Smartscape to handle the complete remodel of our back yard. We completely re-landscaped our front yard with low maintenance design and plants. The scope of work included irrigation, lighting, hardscape including a new driveway, walkway, stone work on our house, new entry wall with stone detail.
