If I could have given a zero I would have! I was told Dr. Cantor would provide a complimentary MRI review which it even states that when calling in on the automated phone service. I did receive the MRI review with Dr. Cantor which lasted 20 minutes and a third of that time was spent with him giving me weight loss instructions which I hadn't asked for. Not thinking anything about it only to receive a bill from Dr. Cantor for $ 1,046.00 for that "Complimentary" MRI review. I disputed this charge but to no avail they aren't wil... read more
Office staff are amazing and so nice to deal with. Making appointments is relative easy as well. Wait time before seeing Dr Cantor was almost an hour. Dr Cantor spent about 15 minutes in room and then abruptly left without an explanation. No explanation just walked out of the room. Not a very nice man. You decide
I heard Dr Cantor speak @ Holy Cross Hospital about a procedure treating arthritis of the spine with a minimally invasive technic with Ultrasound . He stated "this treatment works for everybody for all age groups and the last procedure you will ever need for backache. So I called his office, made an appointment 30 days later, but when I went in he told me you are 92 three different times and you are not eligible for this treatment. He advised me to use a cane or walker. Yet I had told him my backache is when I stand up, I ha... read more
Decided not to have surgery with Dr. Cantor. Seemed too fixated on money (extra fee over insurance).
His office staff is unresponsesive,no one returns phone calls. Accounting department is harmful, dangerous and unresponsive. They turned my paid in full cash account into collections, damaging my credit score , where the damages accrue to the very time of this written review and have been for about six months. Medically, Dr Cantor prescribed the wrong pain medication resulting in agony for me until someone from his practice came to me in the hospital at 4:30 AM to sign off on the corrected medication. If all the above wasn’t ... read more
All I have been reading is about this doctor who is world renowned, one of the best in his field...he has desperately ill people dealing with chronic pain come in for a "free/complimentary" review of your MRIs and then if he finds something on them to discuss, without telling your this first, charges $600 to come back for an actual discussion/consult about what he found on the MRI. UPFRONT TRANSPARENCY without the God complex. We don't have a lot of time left with no quality of life.
Dr Cantor performed L4-L5 fusion surgery on March 16 2017, i was in chronic pain day in day out, so bad i had lost energy and interest in many daily activities. the day after surgery at the hospital, i stepped out of bed expecting great pain as usual ,and no pain at all ,to this day, my life changed and i just wish i had this surgery earlier, with eyes closed i recomend it to anyone, recovery was marvelous ,incission was minimal less than 3 inches and practically no follow up visits needed.
Took my back problem when most surgeons would not. I had severe stenosis L 2and L3, compression fracture of the L3 that had been glued.L4 ,5 and S1 Fusion. I went to Dr Cantor because a friend told me he was very good. I had severe pain in lower back right thigh and leg. He operated on me and removed a piece of bone that was crushing the L3 root nerve. He then removed the stenosis and fused the L3 and L2 using a spacer no rods or screws The vertebrae are starting to fuse with my bone growth.
The whole experience left a lot to be desired. We were overseas patients. On arrival everything seemed very efficient. Everything deteriorated very quickly into a complete shambles. After an almost 3 hour wait to see the Dr., the appointment was a quick 10 minutes in which he repeated himself several times. He got the age of the patient wrong and as we were advised by a nurse that he had to be somewhere else, it was very apparent by the way he rushed in and then sent us on our way.
