RecommendedCaramanda's made my wedding cake and it tasted great however, they did not ice the cake the way that I asked for and they mixed two flavors of cake on my tiered cake. I asked for white chocolate raspberry for the entire thing and when I cut into and tasted it it was definitely two different shades of pink and one tasted like white chocolate raspberry and the other tasted like their pink champagne flavor.
I have been getting Catamanda's since they had their kiosk in the Fayette Mall. Since then I have tried nearly every flavor and loved them. They made a special dragon cake for our baby shower and a wonderful cake for the wedding of my wife and I. I love Catamanda's they are a great local bake shoppe.
Update: Wonderful customer service for holiday cupcakes today and delicious cakes as well! They really are the finest bakery at a reasonable price in Lexington. We come in from Frankfort to enjoy their cakes! Tremendous and patient help ordering a cake by phone today! Representative was amazingly helpful and friendly, and knowledgeable. They were so highly recommended by several friends and they've been terrific!
I've been getting cakes and cupcakes from them for years... every one, every flavour has been amazing. But for my 40th birthday- I wanted a special custom designed cake and so my husband went to them with an idea and they took it and turned it into something beyond my dreams. The level of skill and detail were so superb and perfect for what I had hoped. The awesomeness of the cake doesn't even mention how delicious the cake was. There is no better bakery in Central KY.
I highly recommend their cakes! Not only did our fun cake look exactly like a stack of pancakes, it was absolutely delicious.
I ordered custom cupcakes for a bridal shower. I received many compliments & everyone loved them. They were affordable and look so great.
I stopped in at the Southland Drive location and Hannah was most helpful!! She is not a cake decorator but she accented my cake to perfection. Customer service was superb with Hannah and her colleague whose name escapes me. Thank you both!
