Get directionsWhen we toured the facility it was lovely. However when mom moved in it was a disaster. Mom didn't stay long because there was so much construction. The bus they had to take residents to activities was broken down. It was all very disappointing. Overall not satisfied.
Therapists were friendly, informative and cooperative. Nurses were constantly changing and they have too many patients per nurse. Asked for simple things like dirty laundry be put in bags and for nurses to talk to my mother in law before doing any work. That seemed to be a problem for them. They requested a cat scan of her one evening. They gave her bed away as she has to be admitted for at least 24 hours at the hospital. Snakes! The social worker nor assistant of nursing would return our phone call. Very shady things being ... read more
Care One Livingston is a beautiful facity. However, there is still much to be desired regarding the care of a resident who is unable to transfer on their own and cannot dress or underess themselves. There were things that were promiced but not given for over a month, proceedures were not explained carefully, and aids are very slow to respond to calls, many times in a rush and not all are pleasant. After continually working with management for a month, things are begining to turn around but it can be frustrating. Some managem... read more
Comment: This is a review for the Care One Nursing Home - which comes up as Care Morris AL when you search for it on this website. I have been visiting my mother who has been living here for about 7 years. I have to say that the one consistent thing you can count on at this facility is that it is always chaotic and unsupervised. There are certain staff members who try their best to support the residents but THEY are not being supported by management. There has been a new Administrator almost every year she's been there and e... read more
The rehab section appeared to be well staffed and generally folks were attentive to the residents. At doctors orders, the rehab needed to be postponed, so we moved mom to the assisted living section for a few weeks. Things went down hill in a real hurry. The section she was moved to, the residents were nearly catatonic, and the help was not much better. After repeated requests for improvements in staffing, I had to put my foot down and demand that my mom be moved to another section. Although much better, it never did reach t... read more
We did not have a good experience here. They had a real problem when it came to communicating with families. You really had to stay on top of them if you wanted any sort of updates regarding your loved ones status or care. They would reassess your loved ones care level without even a discussion, and the only way you'd know is a letter in the mail telling you that costs had gone up, effective next month. After we got one of these letters it was very hard to get in touch with anyone to discuss it. They also have issues with st... read more
I wouldn’t send a dog or my worst enemy here! You’ve heard the old saying, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” Well… don’t be fooled by the nice appearance of this facility! They know how to “talk the talk” here, but they sure can’t “walk the walk.” We visited the facility and were impressed by the beautiful setting and appearance and we were assured that they would have no problem handling a patient who came to them for therapy as a “max assist” after a stroke. What we found was that this lovely facility on the outside was a... read more
