Mike replaced a burned section of my vinyl flooring. Mike was very responsive and personable. From the first call to repair was only a matter of a few days, and the price seemed very reasonable. Mike was able to use a piece of flooring from under my washer/dryer to repair a burned/melted section of flooring in the middle of the kitchen. It looks great - pattern matched up, etc. I was really happy with the results!
Mike installed kitchen and laundry room flooring in the past month (separate rating). I was very impressed with the quality of his work so I asked if he installed kitchen backsplashes and he gave me a quote. He has a person that specializes in stone and tile installations. After initial quote, Mike and his installer were here to install the stone backsplash within 5 days. We had already purchased the materials. We replaced our 17 year old kitchen floor with a Luxury Plus sheet vinyl since it had developed a lot of squeaks in the past few years. After getting a quote, we decided to have our old laundry room floor replaced also. I called Mike Nelson for an appointment to see our existing kitchen floor. He brought samples with him and went over all details. He knew we wanted to get rid of those annoying squeaks. I had water damage to my hardwood floors in the kitchen after my refrigerator broke. I emailed Carolina In-Home Flooring through Angie's List to request an estimate. They were very prompt in responding and flexible with scheduling an appointment. When Mike arrived, his assessment was that the warping which had been apparent after the refrigerator leak was no longer particularly noticable. We received 2 quotes which were a little higher than we could afford so went with another company We did not go with this company but Mike Nelson was professional, good communicator, and had a lot of flexibility in scheduling
Removed all existing carpet. Installed approx. 550 sq ft of laminate and approx. 1500 sq ft of new carpet and padding. Carpet included two flights of stairs. Laminate included tearing out old foyer flooring, removing dining room carpet, removing and re-installing half bath toilet, and moving washer and drier in laundry closet. Two large rooms required carpet stretching and the master bedroom required new pad and carpet. He made informative suggestions based on his experience. Mike Nelson is someone you can trust and his word is his bond. The work was done per agreement, actually ahead of time and a quality and professional job from start to finish. I would recommend without reservation and will use his carpet services again.
I needed to find someone willing and able to repair the hardwood floor (for the landlord). Mike was immediately responsive and phoned to discuss the situation with me. He is fair and friendly, and the landlord will be scheduling the work in the future. I did not have the authority to complete the transaction but I have no hesitation referring Mike. Very good consultation.
