Some of the lights in the house went out as if a breaker was tripped. After checking the breaker box and not finding a tripped breaker we figured there must be a loose wire. We called called EXCEL Electrical. EXCEL was one of the highest ranked on Angie's List and was currently on one of the "Big Deals." I bought a CET deal on Angie's List for an hour of work. The gentleman who performed the work did an excellent job, finishing everything within the allotted time. I had a good experience, and would hire CET again.
We are building an extended master closet and needed two new lights added in the space, connected to the existing switch and single light already in place. I purchased the Angie's List Deal for two hours of electrical work by Certified Electrical for $125. Scheduling was about a week out, so I scheduled for Monday between 10-2, received a 30-minutes-out phone call at 10:30 and the tech arrived by 11. The individual on the phone (Certified Electrical) was more than willing to provide a ball park quote for each part of the work over the phone. However, when I asked to schedule a site visit to get a detailed quote and have the assurance that all parties knew the details of the work they wanted to charge $125 with a steep charge of $85 if we canceled less than 24-hours before the appointed time. Charging a site visit inorder to develop a detailed quote is unreasonable especially for a complex and expensive job.
Work went extremely well. I was pleased with the result.
