I used a 'Big Deal' coupon I purchased on Angie's list. This company is extraordinarily efficient. As soon as I made the appt, I received an email, postcard reminder, and phone call reminder before the service. I was the last appt of the day for the electrician, and he was just as patient and cheerful as one could be. He worked outside in the dark and bitter cold to replace an outlet that had failed. He got right to work, and I will be calling them again for additional electrical services.

Rick from CEI came over several times to the house we had just bought. The house was old and had out-dated electricals (100 amps, 2 prong outlets, corroded panel box) and fire hazard where the incoming powerline was wrapped in tape(!). They came all-day to do heavy up, next day to replace almost every single switch/outlet in the house, another day 2 weeks later to add a separate circuit for washer/dryer, and once more to do post-inspection work recommended by MoCo inspector. When I called to schedule the work with Certified, I found them to be very helpful in setting up a date and time to do the work. The electrician was prompt, courteous and thorough. He assessed the issue with the outlet and explained precisely why moving it even 2 inches would be an involved process. I asked him if he could at least replace the old outlet with a newer one including the face plate and he was more than willing to accommodate the request. The technician, Rob, wasefficient and knowledgeable. He explained what needed to be done and how it worked in a simple and clear way. He was also very helpful in giving me advice about some future projects. Iwill definitely use Certified Electrical Technologies in the future.

The electrician made sure to wipe his shoes when he came in and asked to see specifically what I wanted done. He checked the plugs and switches I had purchased, then went quickly to work. He worked quickly with assurance, then he picked up the residue from each work area.

The job went nicely.The light was on when Danny left, however the light went out about 15 minutes after he left. We called CET and Dannycame outa few days laterand checked the light switch but found nothing wrong. We arranged for him to return and dig up the ground wire assuming that was the culprit, but the light remained on from that day forward and we did not require additional service. Although it took a while to set up the appointment, it actually all went very well. Installer came at prescribed time, was courteous and prepared. Promptly installed the fan/light and even had an extra light switch since I had purchased the wrong one.

The work required two visits, owing to a malfunction in the switch for the exterior, heat sensitive, programmable light. The light would not turn on though it had worked when first installed by the Certified technician. Somehow subsequent work he did on wiring in the kitchen related to the exterior light switch caused a problem, which became evident after the technician had left when the light wouldn't turn on.
