Autumn was so very helpful, kind and patient. If I would choose a place to call home solely based on Customer Care, I would pick Chatel in a heart beat. The nicest ppl work there! However I went for a smaller apt elsewhere. But if something goes awry I will be calling Autumn at Chalet. Thank you. Julie S.

I've always dreamed of living in a castle. LOL I love it here at Chalet Apartments. It's a quiet atmosphere. The neighbors are nice and very helpful. Everyone looks out for each other. Chalet is a Historical Landmark. Great place to start out, in between, or to retire. I would highly recommend it. Office staff and Management are wonderful....

The staff here is very accomadating and easy to work with. The apartments are large and the location couldnt be any better. My wife and I have lived her for a year and have been more tgan satisfied with our Apartment.

This has got to be 1 of if not the worst place in Topeka. I took a unit as was transferred with my employer. The 1st month i lived there my Jack got broken into. The office personnel are useless. I finally moved back to civilization, after several other issues (there was theft, apartment break-ins even stabbings). After moving to a different part of the state a friend sent me a package, the forwarding order had expired. I received email notice from USPS that a package was delivered. DO NOT LIVE HERE! The maintenance is absolutely awful and slow, along with the fact that they have absolutely no idea what they are doing. They will screw you on rent and they will find a way to screw you on your security deposit. The second pool wasn't open one time in the year and a half that I lived there. The AC might work in your apartment, who knows! But if it's broken rest assured they won't be over to fix it for a week or two. This apartment was not a good place for me. In the beginning they show you the model apartment. You do not get to see your actual apartment until the day you move in. That is after you sign the lease and pay your deposit. When I walked in after all that took place I wanted to cry. It was musty smelling and the carpet had several stains. I did report the smell and the carpet. nothing was done. Do not rent with this apartment complex nor the company. My daughter rented here. They put her on a 14 month lease when she asked for a 12 month. The maintenance makes a point to barge in unannounced as they did when she was naked and alone. She was originally in a single bedroom that was infested with bugs, leaks in anything with liquid, and a heater that didn't work. They moved her a two bedroom where the outlets shocked you when you touched the light switches. They want there money but will find every excuse in the book... read more

I would not recommend the Chalet apartments to anyone. A friend of mine has been living there for a few months now and she is now desperately trying to break her lease. The apartments are terribly outdated, and was nothing compared to the model pictures. Not to mention it is a very unsafe environment. The light in the staircases get unscrewed and people shoot up under the stairs. Her apartment was recently even broke into, and even though there is a sign stating there are cameras after speaking to management that is not true... read more
