This was by far the worst renting experience I have ever encountered, from staff that lie, to maintenance men that enter your apt before you even have time to answer the door. The management of this place couldn't manage a 1 man hot dog stand. Do not expect to get your deposit back at any cost. Do not rent from these con artists, you will read other honest reviews and they are all the same thing, wish I would of read up on the reviews before I signed a lease with this dump!

What seemed like a friendly and safe environment turned sour very quickly. I had moved in August 2017 and before move in was told that a number of work orders would be completed, including the back screen door and toilet paper holder which had come off the wall. Move in day came and I was told they were going to come back within the week and finish everything. Never happened. Overall, I would not recommend Chalet Apartments. The apartments are very outdated, I'm talking 90s floral wallpaper and appliances. (Though I just found out from reading other reviews of this place that some of their apartments are remodeled.) The fridge will unfortunately suck up a lot of electricity. During the 1 year I lived at Chalet, I was out of town for 3 months. I unplugged all my appliances except for the fridge and turned off the AC. I initially requested a newly remodeled apartment. The remodels are what is pictured on all the rental sites. I was told after agreement of move in date and payment that they had none. I moved from out of state. I have also been dealing with the same maintenance issues since my move in date ( several months ). When going to office to complain about some of the issues I was told it was just esthetic. They lie to you say they will give you a apartment then rent it right out from under you they are slow getting work done tell you if you don't sign another lease they will change you 200:00 dollar on top of your monthly rent the bathroom broken cabinets creaks in the tile broken dishwasher

Horrible and very extremely rude management, and while I lived there for only a year, it was one of the worst experiences of my life living here. I found 5 different species of pests, and ones that were not easy to get rid of. They will turn you into debt collectors as soon as your lease ends if you owe me, oh and they will find reasons to not return your deposit. Beware. Go somewhere else if you care about your mental health and your bank account.

When I first moved to Chalet, management and maintenance was wonderful. They were always very professional and friendly and bent over backwards to help me with any issues I may have had. Now there is a new management company and they are extremely rude. I went to the office to let them know about a broken lock on the laundry room door. The lady that was there, I don't know her name, was mopping and told me very loudly to "step on the rug", which I did. She then asked if she could help me. The apartments are in rough shape lots of old stains and ugly miscolorings in all bathrooms and kitchens I've seen. Recently bought by a corporate rental management company which was a turn for the worst. Assess unfair late charges for online system malfunctions on their behalf - un-willing to reason with a 3 year resident who always paid a full month in advance never late ever. I cosigned on an apartment here for my mother, and we were quite happy in the beginning. They seemed much safer than other apartments we'd looked at in her budget and they were quite friendly with move in. The kitchen, among other aspects of the apartment, was outdated but again, we were on a certain budget. My timing on these things is approximate, but she lived here for maybe a year and half and all was good until she had to break the lease to move to be close to her grandkids in Texas.
