Staff is helpful, and the food is pretty good. They just have a high turnover rate, and response time is a little slow. But my father is basically nonmobile compared to others who are able to take care of themselves. Nothing terrible like the other facilities he's been at.

The environment is clean and presents like a resort! The staff are caring and love your loved ones when you aren’t there to. A variety of activities in and outside of the facility are offered. I highly recommend considering Charter as an option!

Charter Senior Living of Brookfield is like a gorgeous hotel yet comfortable! Staff was outstanding when Mom was there! Absolute angels!!!

Really love the caring nature of the staff at Charter. They are very accommodating and thorough with the residents. [name removed] at the front desk is incredible. She is focused, bright and extremely helpful with any of your family concerns. I love seeing her at the front desk. She has helped so much with our family adjusting to assisted living. I can’t thank her enough for her kindness.
Overall, there have been some challenges with communication and timely follow-through on certain requests and services, as well as occasional concerns with coordination of care. That said, the aides and nurses have been excellent - they are very caring, attentive, and supportive. The food has also been very good. The memory care setting may not be the right fit for every resident, especially for those who are more socially engaged, as opportunities for meaningful interaction can vary.
My mother was one of the first residents of this facility before Charter took over. My family and I were initially very pleased with the services and care she was receiving. Since Charter took over, however, things have gone rapidly down-hill. The focus appears to be increasing the number of residents, without skilled management or adequate staffing.
