ALWAYS clean & filled with friendly people. wonderful, compassionate atmosphere!! My Henry LOVES boarding here under the deluxe 'swimming package'. I've never had a dog so happy to board!!!

Great doctors, great staff, excellent customer service. Don't be swayed by some negative reviews. Go, ask for a tour and make your own decisions. If you go once and write a negative review, you're not giving any business a chance. Don't like something?, speak to the office manager. We have two dogs under 10 pounds. One is a puppy and was spayed recently. We opted for the laser cauterization. The incision healed quickly and you can't even see it. Really give businesses a second chance. Namaste!

I love bringing Zeus here. Zeus loves the pool and the service is great. I call it the one-stop-shop for dogs. Need to board your dog and forgot his vaccinations they will do it while he is in their care. Easy!!! Didn't groom your dog, nails tapping the floor, they got you. Your furry family member will come home smelling brand new and no more tapping on the floor. Maybe you don't need to board your child but want to pamper him/her they got that. Dr. Chenault and his staff are outstanding. They all truly care about the health of our pets and have provided outstanding care. Always prompt service when we arrive and we always receive the best care by the physicians and assistants. Dr. Chenault is warm friendly and you instantly know you are in good hands. Extremely professional and not only provides diagnosis and care, but always provides additional information that is very helpful. Cannot imagine a better vet could exist.

Chenault is the ONLY vet we take out Pittie to. They are so great with him and they always keep us informed of anything necessary. We had a pet emergency and due to a scheduling conflict we had to make an appointment for Sunday (they are not open for vet services Sundays). He hurt his foot pretty badly jumping from a very high vehicle. We took our pup to Dogwood Emergency Vet where they said he was fine, a few days later we went to the Banfield in Short Pump. All of my animals have been patients for 14 years, at both the Ashland & the Mechanicsville location. They have assisted us is every aspect of health care from new puppies, horrific injuries, grooming, well visits and even euthanasia. The care, support, honesty, concern & compassion we have received is unparalleled in the world of veterinary medicine. Can't imagine ever taking my pets anywhere else.

On February 23,2026 I took my beagle to Chenault veterinary Hospital in Ashland Virginia. To get my dog, a rabies shot and to check for an ear infection. Dr. loverett after two jabs into my dog was unable to give her a rabies shot. At which point I decided to go somewhere else. Also, I got medicine for a yeast infection in her ear that was mislabeled. Worst vet I have been too. Been going to them for years missed one apt because of being in the hospital and they charge me 100 dollars that's not the way to treat customers
