Lunch was AMAZING. Emily ‘s sweet southern fried chicken is hands down best chicken I’ve had in Harlem so far.
Really liked the creativity in their food and was amazing.
This was my first time at Chocolat. There were four of us for brunch. The food was unusual and we shared each other’s choices. Everything was delicious My only caveat is the price seemed a bit high and the unlimited mimosas were a bit weak. Would definitely go back
This was my first brunch experience there. I appreaciated that they held my reservation for 5 extra minutes (there was a train delay) the food took a long time, they served a large party ahead of ours(party of 2). It would have been nice to have our sangria refilled or something for the wait. The food was really good once it came. I would go bakc for a sweet meal, I had savory this time.
I asked for a specific table when making my reservations. I wrote the request in my reservations she appeared 10min later. The table i requested was available she sat us at a different table. I asked if we could sit at the table, she stated, “I need that table for 3 people”, the table was a table for 2, geese, some people. She was not a pleasant person either...A party of 2 came in after us, she sat them at the exact table I requested, but I was told she needed it for 3 people..For that very reason I gave 4 stars. Strangely, the food wasn't as good that it normally can be. I ordered Lobster Mac & Cheese and there was hardly any lobster. Not worth the $24 I paid. I did try their cornbread for the first time and it was very good!! I will have again.
Everything was pretty good. The biscuits were amazing and the croquettes. The restaurant is known for their red velvet pancakes but I wasn’t amazed by them or the cranberry mimosa-the pancakes were a bit dry but had a decent flavor. The fried chicken, however, was absolutely the best thing I’ve had- it was dripping in finesse and yumminess. Music was a little loud for my liking. We were in town visiting from Lincoln, NE. This was our first visit to Chocolat Restaurant &Bar. It was during Sunday Brunch and the atmosphere was lively. The food was delicious. We had a reservation and were 10 minutes late and were advised we’d have to wait. The wait wasn’t long and the food was well worth the wait. Our server was excellent however at the end our leftovers were to be brought back to table but were discarded in error. This would definitely not stop me from returning. The service was impeccable from the time we entered until we left.... the first time. Mixed drinks were okay and the wine was much better! Dinner was absolutely amazing! The Shrimp and grits was topped with a rich, creamy shrimp and lobster sauce adorned with perfectly grilled shrimp. My friends enjoyed tender steak and succulent ribs.
