I invited 6 of my friends to come with me for my bday. The restaurant was amazing and plays good music! When arriving it was over crowded and even though I made reservations A month before we still had to wait until somebody got up to be sited. Also friends complained that there food was cold to me but didn’t send it back because we don’t believe in doing that to black owned restaurants. I love the place and the shrimp and grits were very good
There was some confusion when I got there. I was waiting for the rest of my party at the bar and had a drink. When my party arrived, the hostess was delayed in seating me because the bartender apparently didn’t want to transfer my tab to my table for fear of missing out on a tip, or splitting the top with a waiter. Instead of simply having me pay the bar tab before being seated, we were told to wait until a table opened up in the bartenders section so we could be seated. Great experience overall would visit again at another time
I’ve been here a few times and every time I go here it’s alwys a good time. The food is great and the service is great as well. I definitely recommend making a reservation when you get there ESPECIALLY if you’re going for brunch or you will be waiting.
I had a good dining experience, however, the hostess was a bit rude. We had to wait for a table to be available and then were asked to leave after we paid our check (we'd only been there for an hour) because they needed to seat other people. Our waiter and the food were great but the way the meal began and ended left a bad taste.
The only problem was the table we were assigned was lopsided. We had to watch where we sat our drinks on the table just to avoid spills. They need to replace the table.
We had red velvet pancakes and chicken and it was awesome.
