Chris was not the best at communication nor did I feel he was an advocate for getting us in to our home. He threw unnecessary curve balls and went out of his way, I felt, to delay my house process. He even went as fast as calling the underwriter and my loan processor to review certain aspects of my loan process that didn’t pertain to him. He even told me that because I was a travel nurse, I probably wouldn’t be financed and I felt he did everything to prevent me from having a successful close. I was the most stressed dealing... read more

Disclosure numbers were changing all along until the last moment and no real transparency in the closing cost breakdown until you ask for I'm not sure how do you expect the buyer to rate KBH higher with such a poor experience to the buyer and borrower.

Communication. It would take days to get a response at times but Chris did always end up responding. I felt like we were a number lost in a sea of other clients and weren't constantly monitored for catching a good rate. This was our first time buying a home and I feel like we should have been updated as far as rates go.

Lack of communication, and not responding to questions at times for several days. I feel that we missed an opportunity for a lower rate due to lack of response to questions on loan options. If we had not been so far along in the process we would have moved to another lender. Ask several times for credit to be re-pulled due to an error on the credit report that was causing a higher rate and that was never done. I feel like we ended up lying way more than we should have. I would not suggest this lender to anyone even with the ... read more

I would never recommend anyone to Chris or Jayne C. from KB Home loans, I probably would never recommend KB Home Loans to anyone. I know the home buying process is stressful and a lot of documents are required to be submitted. But I believe I was asked to get documents unreasonably last minute due to the under writer forgetting to request a specific document. I received a list of all the items that needed to be submitted roughly 2 months before closing. If I was asked to obtain the student loan documentation in the original ... read more

Better communication and promptness as a first time home buyer My realtor had to fill in a lot of blanks that were left out emails because they were vague. Setting a baseline for a client is very important especially when the only thing they have to go off of is an email you should explain everything in its entirety and thoroughly.

My closing was delayed 6 days because of an issue with the appraisal. Although I paid for it at the beginning of December, the appraisal wasn't complete until the end of the month. They tried to blame it on a delay in construction but that turned out to be untrue. I was forced to stay in a hotel incurring nearly $1,000 worth of expenses that should have used to buy things for my new house. When I voiced my frustration, the only explanation was that it was not his fault. There was a breakdown of communication both externally ... read more
