First off we were pre-approved for 700,000 with the contigent we sold the 250,000. Then we couldn't even get approved for 500,000 without some major changes in income. This turned out fine as we own a business and can make that happen but I worry for people that would not have been able to make those changes. I would have appreciated someone walking me through the process at the very beginning, from what all was going to be needed in terms of paperwork and documentation.
